I started my writing journey in my teens. Poetry and a few short stories. I didn't share them with anyone, just filed them away as personal.
Then more than two decades ago, I started writing a novel. Penned notes of other novel ideas still keeping them as personal. It wasn't until I wrote a Bible study that I began to take my other writing endeavors more seriously. Ten years later, I pursued publishing.
My first novel was published in 2016. Two other novels and one novella followed. I wasn't much for marketing so they didn't make a big splash, but they were an accomplishment I was proud of.
Unfortunately, my publisher is closing it's doors, and I find myself at a loss knowing what steps I should take next.
To anyone pursuing a path of publishing, I say go for it. Even if the dream is short-lived, it is always special when any dream is realized at all.
